Description

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will (1) identify potential programs and including plans for planting, harvesting and gleaning, (2) attend community partner and association meetings related to urban farming and identify opportunities that will support Dunbar Farms, (3) create lesson plans and participate in educational programs (virtual and in-person) for residents, volunteers, the neighborhood development task force and community partners, (4) create organizational systems, standard operating procedures and manuals to accommodate farm expansion (5) coordinate volunteer activities relating to farm to table demonstrations, community fair/farmer’s market events and other community engagement opportunities and (6) share information and ideas with the neighborhood development work group about urban agriculture in sustainable development.
