The Americorps VISTA members will add value to the core services we provide and will support writing for outreach to clients and donors, support in devising Standard Operating Procedures for the areas addressed, and doing research for each and technological support to successfully communicate with those interested in JFCS via social media outlets.
Service Activities
There will be five VISTA members and will address work in After School programming, Career-Readiness, Marketing, Fundraising and Food Pantry.
Community Need Addressed
Our programs address mental health needs, food security, children's after school programming & safety, senior safety and socialization concerns, career readiness and more.
Position Outcomes
We will prepare our clients to better handle difficulties and challenges with skills and resources that we teach and provide, respectively. The food pantry is intended to provide transitional support for those who need sustenance, but our goal is to transition clients to ultimately and successfully be able to provide for themselves.
