Residential Caregiver

Description

Full-time, live-in volunteer Caregivers staff Innisfree’s residential houses. These caregivers live side-by-side with Innisfree’s residents with intellectual disabilities, known as coworkers. Caregivers manage households and provide personal care to the coworkers who live there. Caregivers also work with coworkers in Innisfree’s therapeutic workstations, which include a bakery, community kitchen, farm, free school, herb garden, vegetable garden, weavery, woodshop, and art studio

$315 - $315 monthly

Additional Benefits

You are provided with a private furnished room in a shared house and all of your food is provided. 15 paid vacation days are given for the year + 5 unpaid vacation days around Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. Two consecutive days off are given each week. We have the use of a gym, an outdoor pool and 550 acres of walking and hiking. We grow our own vegetables, raise chickens for eggs and bake our own bread and granola. The monthly stipend is $315. There is a severance given at the end of the service - $65 per month. If you have a clean driver's license, we have shared community vehicles that can be used for personal use (within limits). We are a vibrant community of 70 people, some from around the world, so there is always the chance of making friends.
