Description

COVID-19 Recovery AmeriCorps members serving 300 hours over 24 weeks will be partnered with the following organizations across Iowa:

West Burlington: The Homestead 1839- Food Security SPRING POSITION

AmeriCorps members will engage in service activities that include a wide variety of tasks that meet the needs of organizations where members serve.

Food Security: AmeriCorps members will address food security by preparing, sorting, packing and/or distributing food for food insecure individuals. Members may also serve in community or organization gardens to grow fresh produce for distribution to food pantries.

Economic Relief Services and Programs: AmeriCorps members will address the needs of Iowans by providing economic relief services and programs that promote the health, safety and independence of individuals and families. Under this activity services may also be provided to individuals experiencing homelessness.
