The goals of the AmeriCorps VISTA Community Liaison position will be to develop and implement a volunteer program to support Opportunity Living at both the Activities Center and with the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS), identify and generate resource development, including fundraising, for equipment and services provided to clients, and refine and establish activities to improve economic independence. The Community Liaison VISTA will also map current businesses for volunteer opportunities to assist in the development of skills necessary for employment in the future as well as cultivate a relationship with job opportunities programs to increase employability of identified clients, and increased quality of life.
