POSITION PURPOSE:
The AmeriCorps member will help to organize activities for after-school youth and Summer Library Program participants. The Hudson Summer Library Program involves the whole community in activities that educate and entertain. The library is an important part of the town, and the people of Hudson are proud of their library. The Summer Library Program is a flagship program that seeks to create a love of libraries and of reading. The member will help provide positive opportunities that will enrich the lives of youth in the community.

AMERICORPS TASKS & ACTIVITIES:
• Planning and coordination of programs for youth
• Organize and facilitate craft projects
• Facilitate gaming activities
• Register children for the program
• Check reading logs and distribute incentives
• Collect checked out library materials
• Participate in and develop planned activities
