Description
The case aide works at the Support Center of Beds Plus, our partner site, serving men, women and families from the west suburbs who are experiencing homelessness. The case aide assists in the management of the Support Center activities and assists the program’s case management staff. The case aide is responsible for 1) intake, assessment, and referral services to clients referred from the Emergency Shelter to the Support Center; 2) Assist in the facilitation of moving clients beyond emergency shelter services by linking clients to BEDS Plus Care’s basic services and case management team; and 3) provide crisis intervention, advocacy and education on behalf of clients. The case aide strives to build a trusting relationship with emergency shelter guests in an effort to encourage access to services and housing and reduce the length of stay in the Emergency Shelter.
