Description

Homes for All VISTA is a National Service Program that is recruiting for the VISTA Community Engagement Specialist that is available with Family Scholar House. This position will be serving in Louisville KY and has a start date of August 2, 2021. VISTA members will provide unique services that will enable agencies to increase funding, community support, and sustainable services to low-income Kentuckians. The VISTA Community Engagement Specialist duties include:

Create and facilitate 3 community led trainings to improve career readiness skills and improve financial empowerment
Develop sustainable marketing and outreach materials
Recruit community-based professionals to provide trainings for Family Scholar House participants
Develop a comprehensive tracking system for virtual events and volunteer opportunities
Improve existing communications plan by strengthening social media and paper materials
Create templates and guiding document using Family Scholar House branding

Benefits include: modest living allowance of $13,362, end of year education award ($6,345) or cash award ($1,800) upon successful completion of the program, healthcare, relocation allowance, training, networking, support, childcare assistance for those that qualify, and mileage reimbursement.
