Description

Located along the Mississippi River, HFH La Crosse serves La Crosse, Vernon, and Trempealeau counties in western Wisconsin, and Houston County in Minnesota and is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes for families in need. Established locally in 1992, Habitat La Crosse has built 41 safe, stable and sustainable homes for families in need.

The goal of this VISTA is to continue to develop fundraising and marketing plans and materials, and conduct community outreach. This will help raise awareness about local housing issues & HFH, leading to increase support for housing programs and allowing Habitat to help more families in need. Project objectives include:
• Assist with the further development of agency marketing and fund development plans by incorporating the affiliate's new three-year strategic plan.
• In conjunction with the marketing plan and Habitat branding, continue with the development of marketing templates for distribution throughout a variety of distribution points, including mailed, email, social media, and signage.
• Further develop the annual Donor Recognition Event.
• Develop a grant management plan, work with the Executive Director to identify needs, and write at least one grant application.
