Members serving would have a home base in Marshalltown, Iowa. Members will be deployed the majority of their service either assisting with natural disasters that occur around the state and possibly deploy to other areas of the country. During flooding member may be responsible for mucking and gutting, debris removal and mold suppression. In the event of a tornado they would assist with with tarping homes and temporary home repairs for homes affected. These members will be travelling over 50% of the time. Sleeping arrangements will be provided while on deployment, this could mean sleeping on a cot in a church basement with 20 other members. In the event there is no disaster where members are being called to action members on this team will assist Habitat affiliates across the state with new home build and repairs.

The member will be provided housing while out on deployment. Housing in Marshalltown is offered to members at a rate of $150.00 per month while serving.
