Volunteer services coordinators help recruit, train, schedule and recognize Habitat volunteers while growing the volunteer base and advancing individual and group partnerships in the community. As a volunteer services coordinator, you will assist with all aspects of volunteer management, including orientations, database maintenance, volunteer tracking and communication. You will market and outreach within the community to recruit new volunteers and develop new opportunities and events for volunteers to engage with the mission of Habitat for Humanity.

Service Activities

•Assist with volunteer management activities including orientations, database maintenance, volunteer tracking, and communication and marketing for all volunteer opportunities.
•Develop written volunteer position descriptions,and develop and implement effective recruitment messaging to attract new volunteers.
•Schedule and communicate affiliate needs with all available individual volunteers and volunteer groups
•Plan and execute the annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet and develop new volunteer recognition tools.
•Attend community outreach programs to promote volunteer opportunities, including events targeted at the military and veteran communities and senior community.

In 2018, Habitat helped more than 8.7 million people, and an additional 2.2 million gained the potential to improve their living conditions through training and advocacy. In addition, more than 1.4 million volunteers were mobilized to build, advocate and raise awareness about the global need for shelter.
