Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona seeks a service-minded humanitarian who wants to ‘be the greater good’ at our award-winning nonprofit organization! This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to break into the fields of Fundraising, Corporate Relations, Public Relations, Communications, Development, Sponsor & Donor Relations, and Events Planning with little to no prior experience!


Fundraising / Resource Development AmeriCorps VISTA

Primary responsibilities:
• Assist with fundraising, planning, and management of small and large scale events
• Promote Habitat's mission to corporate and faith-based organizations
• Research, develop, & implement fundraising projects
• Implement crowd fundraising & text to donate campaigns to engage donors & sponsors
• Research new funding sources, write proposals, and collaborate on grant management

Learn about and help with fundraising and resource development from a team of nonprofit professionals! Habitat AmeriCorps members will have the opportunity to travel to the Habitat AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon, an annual blitz build event. Habitat AmeriCorps members also receive a variety of position specific trainings including CPR/First Aid, Lockton Safety Courses, and many more. $150 a month in a gift card to assist with groceries/necessities. Benefits of Service as an AmeriCorps VISTA: • Annual living allowance of $12,277.71 (that's approx. $1,023 per month before taxes) • $150 per month in the form of a gift card for necessities/groceries • Segal Education Award of $6,095, or end of service stipend of $1,800 • Possible forbearance of qualified student loans • Ten personal and ten sick days • Noncompetitive eligibility status for federal government jobs for one year after service • Healthcare allowance up to $7,900 to cover out of pocket costs associated with healthcare or VISTA members are also eligible to enroll in a health benefit plan. Requirements:
• This is a full-time service commitment of 40 hours per week for 12 months
• Valid driver’s license and your own insured vehicle
• A successful background check
• This is a federally funded program and requires primary documentation of status as a U.S. citizen / lawful permanent resident alien in the United States
• Must be able to work in a team environment
