Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley is seeking a VISTA Digital Marketing Coordinator. The AmeriCorps VISTA joins the team of Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley (HEBSV) to increase our capacity to build homes, community, and hope in our three-county service area. The Digital Marketing Coordinator VISTA create new ways for Habitat to connect with current homeowners and volunteers who are likely to recommend Habitat to friends and family. This individual will identify, create, and share inspiring content to motivate our audience to get involved at all levels to help us increase the number of families we serve.
In order to serve more people next year and in the future we will need to improve upon our currently stewardship and recruitment efforts. As we look to expand our services into cities and areas that we have not worked with before, or for a while, we need our online efforts to encourage that growth. The position will develop and coordinate a strategy around how to increase financial and non-financial resources towards this end.
Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. We revitalize neighborhoods, build affordable and sustainable housing solutions, and empower families through successful homeownership. Since 1986, we have partnered with volunteers, the community, and qualified families with limited incomes to strengthen communities in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties.

Many benefits vary by service location. However all Habitat AmeriCorps members will have the opportunity to travel to the Habitat AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon. Habitat AmeriCorps members also receive a variety of position specific trainings including CPR/First Aid, Lockton Safety Courses, and many more. Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley offers a minimum rental stipend in the amount of $600 while in active service.

• Knowledge of, and willingness to promote, the mission and activities of Habitat for Humanity and AmeriCorps
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Experience working as a member of a team
• Marketing experience including: social media, SEO, email marketing, website maintenance, Google Analytics, is highly desirable
