Description

The compelling need for our community is more affordable, decent houses, and repair of existing houses. This member position will help build and maintain the pipeline of homeowner families by leading the efforts to recruit qualified families for the homeownership program in both counties, with a focus on Cecil County, including educating the families about program requirements and the homeownership process. This member will develop more partnerships in Cecil County that will increase the number of volunteers and community partners, as well as families applying for the homeownership program from Cecil County. This member will be the point of contact for homeowner families and mentors as each family goes through the process, including helping the family plan their new house dedication service. This member position is designed to move us substantially forward in accomplishing the affiliate’s goals of providing more affordable, decent homes for our community.

From Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna’s inception in 1993, until today, we have served over 350 families by building 99 homes and repairing over 290. Our AmeriCorps members are an integral part of our affiliate, helping us serve more families in need of affordable housing solutions. Our home office in Bel Air, MD is situated in a suburban area, 25 minutes away from many attractions with a diverse opportunity to serve and experience a “small-town” community. Join our Habitat family and help us build better communities!
