The member serving in this role will be part of the Wichita Habitat for Humanity Construction team. They will provide the support necessary to increase the number of families our affiliate is able to serve through our minor home repair, A Brush With Kindness (ABWK), Rehab, and new construction projects. With the assistance of the AmeriCorps member, we anticipate completing 16 new home builds during the 2019-20 term, with a total of 35 families served. The addition of an AmeriCorps construction crew leader will be integral to our goals of serving more families with deferred maintenance issues throughout both our Neighborhood Revitalization area and our broader community. They will also enable us to maintain a higher level of excellence and service in building more homes for families in need of affordable shelter.
