As a Construction Crew Leader AmeriCorps member, you will help Durham Habitat extend our reach into the community and provide an educational and rewarding environment for volunteers and partner families. Durham Habitat completes historic rehabs and infill construction in urban Durham neighborhoods. AmeriCorps members are crucial to our success because they have the effect of multiplying our trained work force and cultivating a strong base of skilled and regular volunteers, allowing our staff of Construction Supervisors to oversee more projects reliably and safely.

Durham Habitat provides $250/mo housing stipend to new members and $350/mo to returning members; $40/mo phone reimbursement; on-the-job mileage reimbursement; one-time $75 boot/tool allowance
All Habitat AmeriCorps members will have the opportunity to travel to two national events: National Service Leadership Conference and the Habitat AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon. Habitat AmeriCorps members also receive a variety of position specific trainings including CPR/First Aid, Lockton Safety Courses, and many more.
