Construction Crew Leader

Description

The member serving in this role will be directly involved in the leadership and supervision of our home-building process. This member will provide on-site supervision to community volunteers and in turn allow ECHFH staff to concentrate efforts on fundraising, volunteer recruitment and retention, developing construction standards, and maximizing the efficiency of our program. The member will provide another on-site leadership position along with our existing Construction Manager and Volunteer Coordinator/Construction Assistant.

-Assist with hands on construction tasks including, but not limited to, demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry and landscaping. Projects may include new and gut rehab homes, as well as A Brush With Kindness (ABWK), Critical Home Repair (CHR) and weatherization projects.
-Lead small groups of volunteers, ensuring that they are well-employed while on the work sites.
-Use volunteer management techniques to facilitate positive experiences for volunteers and partner families working on site.
