-Build relationships and partner with residents, local agencies, elected officials, and community stakeholders. These partnerships will help to identify areas where host site housing and community development solutions can intersect with the community’s identified aspirations.
-Identify community improvement projects and plan and execute projects for successful completion (ex. Community clean ups, community garden, ABWK projects, etc.)
-Engage volunteers from the local community to support the local projects planned.
Education award upon successful completion of service, Student loan forbearance
Many benefits vary by service location. However all Habitat AmeriCorps members will have the opportunity to travel to 2 national events, National Service Leadership Conference and the Habitat AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon. Habitat AmeriCorps members also receive a variety of position specific training's including CPR/First Aid, Lockton Safety Courses, and many more.
