As a key member of our team, the Volunteer Developer is vital community outreach and volunteer recruitment role that helps further Goodwill’s mission of removing barriers to employment through job placement, counseling, and career training services provided to the local community.

Service Activities

The Volunteer Developer service activities include but are not limited to:
• Going out in the community to recruit volunteers
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to deepen volunteer engagement
• Planning and managing volunteer events
• Preparing and managing content for email newsletters, and social media and member announcements
• Researching prospective programs, funding sources, and program improvement ideas
• Providing timely and accurate data entry and record keeping

Community Need Addressed

Increase the number and utilization of volunteers in the community to impact program's mission of assisting the disabled, disadvantaged and under-served populations to achieve and/or maintain independence and thriving lives.

Position Outcomes

Increase in the number of volunteers recruited and increase in the number of volunteer hours served
