Description

Ethos Music Center is seeking a community-minded musician to serve as a Rural Outreach Project (ROP) Music Facilitator for the 2018-19 school year. Full time positions are available. All Ethos AmeriCorps members will serve and live in the towns of Dufur, Madras, Metolius, Spray, Maupin, Elkton, Falls City, Monument, and Lake County. Primary responsibilities include teaching music during and after school four to five days a week in classroom and small group settings. Members will also assist in training and supervising volunteers to help with lessons, summer camps, and organizing community events and concerts. The Rural Outreach Project not only brings much-needed music education and exposure to underserved communities, but gives musicians and music educators the opportunity to use their talents in a unique and meaningful way, while gaining valuable practice in classroom teaching. Positions are open until filled.
