Description
The Java Joy Program Leaders will work with ESP's program Java Joy. Java Joy is a job skills training to empower adults with disabilities to gain confidence, learn job applicable skills, and advance their abilities. Java Joy is mobile coffee cart, employed by our adults with disabilities, and rented by local companies as a fee for service. Our adults, or “Joyristas,” prepare and serve coffee, baked goods, and transformative joy.
In fulfilling the objectives of Java Joy, the Java Joy Program Leaders will: create and implement job skills training for all Joyristas, encourage and assist all Java Joy members to find creative ways to appreciate and work with their disability, monitor individualized work plans and recreational goals for each Joyrista, serve as site managers of all Java Joy community events, ensure all work sites maintain a safe, clean, friendly environment for both Java Joy staff and community members, assist in the promotion of Java Joy, planning and implementing Java Joy events, and fulfilling the objectives of the program.

Additional Benefits
ESP will provide RENT-FREE HOUSING at our camp property, Camp Hooray, for all members. Members also receive: a) the Segal Education Award equivalent to the Pell Grant ($6,095) upon successful completion of service term which can be used to pay educational costs at eligible post-secondary educational institutions as well as to repay qualified student loans, b) a Leadership Development Program, c) CPR & First Aid Certification, d) a Health Insurance Coverage if needed (members may decline coverage), and e) Daycare assistance, if eligible.
