Community Need Addressed

Our mission is to cultivate connections between people, places and God by making a place that nurtures belonging and the radical renewal of God’s world.

Here, volunteers and staff grow local, healthy food for our neighbors, including people who can't afford to buy it. People learn how our food connects us all to the earth and one another.

We're seeking to shift our culture toward equity and resilience. In a time of disconnection and disease, Plainsong seeks to be a place of hope and healing.

Position Outcomes

The farm offers seasonal, nutrient-dense food to community members and acts as a demonstration site for hands-on environmental education.Young adults will participate in the work of the farm, daily contemplative prayer, land based faith formation with the wider community, seasonal events, garlic planting and special events with national leaders. A course of readings, discussions with the farm’s co-founders, program staff, and guest facilitators will provide experiential learning in regenerative agriculture, justice and reconciliation, and Christian spiritual practice.
