Description

As an Epilepsy Community Health Worker in training, you'll work alongside the professional team from Epilepsy Foundation New England starting in June 2022 and ending in May 2023 to gain valuable career and professional skills. 56 AmeriCorps members serving at EFNE will facilitate social groups, connect people with social and financial supports, and provide care management to help people reach their personal and health goals. Member-led programming will range from activities such as providing training to school children about epilepsy working with individuals 1:1, and in-person and virtual groups. You'll plan for multiple groups each week, and you'll work with local organizations, schools, and stakeholders to promote programming and encourage participation. Help sustain the program for years to come by managing our growing community resource partners, recruiting volunteers, and fine-tuning our client engagement and management practices. Full-time members will receive a living stipend of $22,500 in total.
