Description

The ELP Robotics Club ensures under-resourced youth have access to quality STEM enrichment and develop interests in STEM professions. The clubs meet twice weekly, 1.5 hours/session, for 11 weeks to work through the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 curriculum, which has been vetted by the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy and aligns with Common Core standards. At the end of the year, students engage in a friendly competition. The students who are enrolled in their second year of our robotics club prepare for and compete in a regional FIRST Lego League Competition, and go through our Vex iQ curriculum in the spring.

The person in this position will also assist with preparing for and facilitating ELP I, a multi-workshop program for high school students that helps prepare them for post-high school life, and mentor up to 6 ELP II students.

ELP II is year-long mentorship program for high school seniors in which they receive one-on-one guidance throughout the college application, financial aid and scholarship process. It also prepares them for a smooth transition from high school to college.

Send cover letter and resume to Paola Sandoval-Moshenberg, Program Director, at careers@edu-futuro.org. Upon receipt, additional application materials will be sent to eligible applicants. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
