Description

This position brings technology and employment services to many people who traditionally have barriers to accessing these resources. The CTEP member will work directly with PPL residents of targeted housing sites to increase technology skills and access, employability, and find employment. This will be achieved one-to-one, as well as in group settings, by supporting residents with computer literacy (computer labs), employment skills, and job searching.

Specific duties will include:

Develop one-to-one relationships with residents and increase participation through outreach
Provide group and one-to-one technology based services at housing sites (i.e. community rooms and some home visits) to include employment, education, access to benefits and navigating online resources
Take detailed case notes and track participant and program goals and outcomes
Attend regular team meetings and collaborate with case managers to better serve residents’ diverse needs
Plan and facilitate trainings related to leadership development, computer literacy, and employment searching
Collaborate with the PPL Learning Center and community agencies to connect residents to job training programs
Recruit resident and community volunteers to work with PPL programs
Train and supervise community volunteers for on-site computer labs
