Description
Building relationships with SPNN Members: Whether through basic classes, specialized workshops, or drop-in labs, the Access CTEP will work to make SPNN members feel engaged and supported. The availability of the Access CTEP to SPNN members is highly important. The Access CTEP is encouraged to spend as much time as possible in the Access Center in order to build relationships outside of organized classes or events.
Intern/Volunteer recruitment and management: The Access Department offers several intern positions every year. The Access CTEP will oversee the recruitment process by building connections in Universities and Colleges. They will also work with interns from our programming partners the Higher Education Consortium of Urban Affaires (HECUA).
Communication and promotion of SPNN classes and events: The Access CTEP will be in charge of the promotion of their classes and workshops, through event pages on the SPNN website, word of mouth, or the distribution of flyers. They will also track needs and desires of members in order to provide better workshops.
Experience with media technology (specifically video production) , community engagement, and media literacy is strongly desired.
