Description
COMCorps members serve in a variety of sites throughout Athens County to bring healthy living through food and physical activity to the community. Specific sites are chosen throughout the interview process. Position descriptions vary at each site while maintaining the overall program mission. All members are required to participate in implementing the Live Healthy Kids nutrition education curriculum in 2nd grade classrooms, health screenings at schools, national days of service, professional growth training, and Corps service projects while getting to implement new programs and work with their specific site to further the goal of reducing childhood obesity and promoting public health.
