Description
Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) AmeriCorps Home Repair Crew Members serve in teams of 2-3 and assist the employee or volunteer crew leader in home repairs and new construction for low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
CAP AmeriCorps members also have the opportunity to participate in CAP's Volunteer Program. CAP Volunteers commit to direct Service, intentional Community, and Spirituality. In addition to their service, CAP volunteers share in dinner and devotion several nights a week.

Additional Benefits
All food and housing is provided for members who choose to live in a CAP volunteer community house. The living allowance is $170 bi-weekly for members who live in community and $677 bi-weekly for members who choose to live on their own.

Applicants age 21 or older with a driver's license and good driving record are especially encouraged to apply.
