Description
Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) AmeriCorps Elderly Services caseworkers help seniors without other sources of support access the services, medical care, and human connection that would otherwise be absent.
CAP AmeriCorps members also have the opportunity to participate in CAP's Volunteer Program. CAP Volunteers commit to direct Service, intentional Community, and Spirituality. In addition to their service, most CAP volunteers share in dinner and devotion several nights a week.

Additional Benefits
All food and housing is provided for members who choose to live in community. Stipend ("living allowance") is $125 bi-weekly for members who live in community and $550 bi-weekly for members who choose to find their own housing.
