  • About Us
Michigan has healthy, vibrant, inclusive communities. CEDAM members are at the forefront in advocating, collaborating and delivering sustainable community-building programs. They utilize CEDAM resources to remain connected, effective and informed.

    CEDAM programs include the following:

    Michigan Foreclosure Prevention Corps
The Michigan Foreclosure Prevention Corps (MFPC) is an AmeriCorps program originally focused on building the capacity of housing counseling agencies by providing foreclosure prevention services and resources to at-risk homeowners. CEDAM is running a pilot project for the 2015-2016 program year that focuses on financial empowerment, and host sites are no longer required to be providing foreclosure services. Agencies may choose to have members engaged in both financial empowerment and foreclosure prevention or choose one focus.

    Microenterprise Network
The Microenterprise Network of Michigan (MNM) is the statewide association for organizations that provide knowledge-building services and access to capital for very small businesses.

    Michigan Rural Council
The Michigan Rural Council is a bridge between leaders and communities that works to revitalize and enhance rural Michigan communities. The MRC connects and educates community leaders, provides expertise and advocates for policy and projects to impact rural Michigan.

    Michigan Economic Impact Coalition
The Michigan Economic Impact Coalition (MEIC) unites individuals, organizations and local initiatives committed to supporting tax credit and asset building opportunities for Michigan families through improved access to free, quality, income tax preparation assistance.

    Michigan Communities for Financial Empowerment
Michigan Communities for Financial Empowerment (MCFE) is a network for local leaders working to integrate financial empowerment with core public and nonprofit services.
  • Our Impact
CEDAM provides services to our 200 member organizations to help them solve problems on the local level. AmeriCorps members provided 4,587 at-risk homeowners with intake services in the 2015 program year. An additional 14,984 individuals were reached through community outreach, mailings and presentations.
