Description
This AmeriCorps VISTA will develop a community outreach system, streamlining school meeting coordination and follow up protocols between school liaisons, school counselors, youth and parents. This outreach and communication system would help students struggling with behavior or attendance issues by organizing the roles and responsibilities of school staff and teachers refugee organizations, family and youth an other partnering agencies and leveraging combined actions. The VISTA will also collaborate with community partners to align services and create procedures and protocols to provide mentoring, tutoring, counseling, and enrichment programming as well as develop communication strategies between partners to track student progress.
