Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos strives to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect for at-risk infants, children and their families by providing comprehensive residential and family support programs that transform people and communities.

  • About Us
The goal of Casa de Esperanza is to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect, one family at a time. Through our comprehensive services, Casa de Esperanza provides hope and healing for children and their families in the Greater Houston area and surrounding counties whose lives have been disrupted by abuse, neglect, homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, parental incarceration and/or HIV-infection. There is only one reason a child ever comes to Casa de Esperanza – because they are not safe. Casa de Esperanza is first and foremost a crisis intervention agency, responding to those urgent situations where children are at risk from injury or abuse, and providing immediate safety and care for these children. The children are newborn to six years of age on admission to the Residential Program but may stay until a safe, permanent home can be provided.

Our homes are located in a safe, enclosed neighborhood near the Texas Medical Center. In addition to quality residential care for the children, caregivers work with professionals on staff and in the community to evaluate and address the needs of each child, including consultations with pediatricians, medical specialists, developmental specialists, therapists, psychologists, school personnel, caseworkers and social service workers.

Family Support Services works with children and their families to access the resources they need to provide a safe and stable home for children. This Team supports families during the child's placement in foster care and post-permanency, whether permanency is achieved through reunification or adoption. Reunification is our goal and is our main outcome for children in care.
  • Our Impact
Providing safety, hope and relationships creates a sense of belonging that impacts children, families and the community.
