Peer Leaders serve as leaders who support and guide their college peers to a successful and on-time degree completion. The most successful Peer Leaders are those students who possess the following qualities:
-Academic Preparation: Potential Peer Leaders are students that will be enrolling for the upcoming year and have demonstrated academic persistence.
-Social Capital: Potential Peer Leaders are influential among their peers and have the capacity to work well with others.
-Personal Leadership Potential: Potential Peer Leaders have demonstrated the capacity for leadership and have personal tenacity or grit.
-Capacity to Create Change: Potential Peer Leaders are positioned to make the most change in their community.
