Full Time Early Childhood Member

This position requires the member to support classes that are conducted in both English and Spanish. Strong written and verbal skills in both languages required.

The MFS Early Childhood AmeriCorps Member will:

• Develop curriculum for and teach weekly child-focused activities during Parent Child Interaction Groups;
• Assist Coordinator in the Ready, Set, Go classroom;
• Connect families with resources and referrals for service such as rent assistance and holiday resources;
• Outreach to staff at nearby elementary school sites and organizations to support family connections to the schools and facilitate opportunities for families to volunteer and attend events;
• Recruit and Coordinate family and community volunteers;
• Lead and support site-specific projects and activities as defined in site-specific service descriptions

Service Activities

• Support health and wellness learning for children and families through activities and events.
