MFS AMERICORPS MEMBER TASKS (VARY BY POSITION):
● Develop and Teach life skills and leadership-focused student groups
● Develop and Coordinate health and wellness family events and workshops
● Recruit and Coordinate family and community volunteers
● Receive training in areas such as financial capabilities and resource/referral facilitation
● Support MFS Food Pantry distributions and community school garden projects across MFS
programs
● Develop and Teach site-specific service projects such as kindergarten readiness activities
during Parent-Child Interaction Groups
● Support events and classes for older adults, people experiencing disabilities and
family/caregivers
● Work in partnership with service providers and other nonprofits to organize events,
content and outreach
● Participate in trainings and projects that work toward your individual professional goals
