We empower STEM professionals to transform public education in high-need communities.

  • About Us
EnCorps STEM Teachers Program is the only nonprofit recruiting
the best and brightest STEM professionals and military veterans,
as an innovative, long-term solution to the shortage of high quality,
impactful educators for under-resourced students in high need
communities. EnCorps aims to increase the quantity and quality of
STEM teachers to ensure that all students have access to first-rate
STEM learning, to reverse the nation’s decades-long decline in math
and science, and to develop a workforce pipeline based on 21st
century skills. One decade into its mission, EnCorps impacts more
than 35,000 California students and boasts a teacher retention rate
exceeding 80% -- well above industry standard.
  • Our Impact
We believe in the power of math and science to propel students,
communities, our state, and country forward in the 21st century.

    talent for the 1.5 million open jobs in STEM fields in California;
    2. Promote diversity in STEM fields by employing recruitment
strategies that identify and champion women and minorities; and
    to
    3. Ensure that participants develop into successful, long-term
teachers in public schools with 40% or more students eligible for
free or reduced-price meals, in accordance with current EnCorps
    retention rates.
