Teen Program Summary Teen Club is a site-based program for over 100 teen girls that takes place in high schools, community centers or other facilities. Teen Club includes a 12-week girl-driven season with the goal of empowering teen girls through leadership development. Girls participate in Leader to Leader interviews, learn to coach younger girls, create strategy to build their communities and learn about additional topics of their choice to deepen their understanding of the leadership and health skills most important to them. Teen Squad Program is a year-round program that helps to develop the leadership skills of teen girls by engaging them in coaching younger girls, conducting service projects, interviewing professional women, going on college visits, and more. Teens earn scholarship money through their participation. Girls in the Game also provides trauma-informed, girl-driven programs in residential facilities like the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center where teens can stay active and develop their leadership skills.
