I want to serve because I want to help the next generation of at risk youth succeed and be proud of their accomplishments. I have had personal experience with family that was and still is at risk, and I know how tough it is to succeed and excel in school when the child is basically fending for themselves. The challenges that these kids face, they can not accomplish what they want to do if they don't receive some sort of aid from a figure that can be a supportive role model to them. That is what I aim to be for them, and why I want to serve.
