LearningWorks Aim High's AmeriCorps members believe in the power of education and who are committed to helping children thrive. Our member teams serve directly in elementary schools and support students’ academic, social, and emotional development by:
-Tutoring and mentoring students one-on-one
-Instructing small groups of students
-Supporting teachers in the classroom
-Engaging families and the community
-Leading extended learning opportunities, like afterschool clubs and summer day camps
In addition to serving as tutors and mentors, our Lead Members are peer leaders for other AmeriCorps members at their school. They help orient, support, and coach other members on their team and serve as an essential point of contact between the Aim High program and the school.
